Why I do this

I build the systems businesses run on. I've been doing it for 30 years.

I started in 1994, in round-the-clock technical support at Crown Casino. Then mainframe billing systems at EDS. I led national development teams at Clayton Utz. I managed meter data management systems holding over 50 billion rows, and ran software enhancements at Origin Energy, ERM Power and Acumen Metering. I've owned a professional services technology company, and a manufacturing company exporting products to the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia.

All of it taught me one thing. The technology that pays off is never the cleverest. It's the technology people actually use, because it fits how the business already works.

AI is no different. Bought on its own, it's one more subscription.

That's what Hartsco is for. I find where AI pays its way in your business. I build it into the systems you already run. I make sure your people use it. And if AI isn't the answer, I'll say so.

How I work

I lead every engagement myself. When a job needs more hands, or a skill I don't have, I bring in specialists and contractors I trust.

Who I've worked with

Through Hartsco, I've provided professional services and solutions to organisations including Origin Energy, Acumen Metering, La Trobe University and Monash University.

Most recently I built three systems for a property development company. An operations hub that replaced GoHighLevel: AI sorts the email and drafts the replies, and a person sends every one. A social content system that works out which posts perform, drafts scripts and captions for new ones, and publishes once a person signs off. And BuildTrack, a property development management platform that replaced the company's spreadsheets.
